For people that want that real train look in their yards, we have three different cars to chose from, a Box Car, Caboose, Flat car. They are made of Aluminum, Steel and Wood, the cars are all hand made each groove in the panels are cut one at a time they are not made from paneling. These cars are all special orders, we do not stock them so just call and we will work out the details.

This is a Dining Car with a built in Grill, The Grill can be removed, it just lifts right out, the top can also be removed buy removing to bolts, the body can be lifted off the chassis by removing the coupler holders that's four bolts and then 6 screws on the cars sides near the bottom. The car is made out of 16 gage steel and some 11 gauge where added strength is needed. The car comes complete with our trucks that you can see on our other listings, you will have to supply the connecting couplers. This is for 7.5 or 7.25 gauge tracks, you can buy the car with the color shown or bare metal or we will paint to your instructions with-in reason. the length of the car is 7 feet 6 inches X 24 inches from the track to the top X 16 inches wide, the height of the coupler holder is 6 inches from the top of the track to the center of the holder. Box Car: $775.00

The body is made from 1/2" plywood, the top is aluminum with wood down the center. Both doors open and close, the frame is all steel except for the wheels they are made of phenolic resin compound with macerated fabric molded under extreme pressure. The trucks have working springs hand made from 3/16" square stock, the wheel bearings are made from delrin, they have been tested and will last a long time if properly lubricated.

Here we have our new Flat Car, as you can see in the pictures it comes with two of our trucks with the steel cup wheels. You can purchase the Flat car body separate if you want to use you own trucks for $300.00. You will have to supply your own couplers, The car is made of 11 gauge steel supported buy angle iron and the top is made of plywood. Parts for the car are in stock and need to be assembled, this will take about one week.
